album No. 6 it's on its way to Meghan Trainor!
On Thursday, the “Mother” pop star announced that her album will be released Eternal on June 14 via Epic Records, and will also hit the streets for the first time in seven years this fall. He also dropped the LP's first single, “Been Like This” featuring T-Pain.
“I can't believe it's been 10 years since this all started, I've never been more grateful for this life my incredible Megatronz has given me,” she said in a press release, referring to her fans. “This new album and tour is all about them and my beautiful family.”
The T-Pain collaboration came to life after Trainor's husband Daryl Sabara had been trying “for months” to surprise her for her birthday. “He's been a fan of mine for a long time and the feeling is definitely mutual,” he said. “I think we came together in a way that is a perfect mesh of styles that will set everyone up to work together again soon. T-Pain and M-Train, the collaboration you never knew you wanted but needed.”
As for the 24-show Eternal tour, Trainor will stop at theaters across America, including LA's Kia Forum and New York's Madison Square Garden. She will bring her brother Ryan Trainor and Chris Olsen on the road, along with “Lil Boo Thang” singer Paul Russell. Natasha Bedingfield will also join Trainor as an opener in New York, Los Angeles and Colorado.
tickets for the show series go on sale to the general public on March 22 at 10am. local time, though fans can register for presale tickets through Thursday.
Eternal follows the release of Trainor's latest album I take back in 2022, which included songs like “Made You Look,” “Don't I Make It Look Easy” and “Bad For Me” featuring Teddy Swims. Trainor dropped her debut Title in 2015, Thanks in 2016 both Pamper myself and A very educational Christmas in 2020.
“I stopped chasing the radio and what I thought people wanted to hear and just wrote what I liked,” he said Rolling rock for the LP. “I put my heart into every song. Sometimes my sad, broken heart and sometimes my happy, confident heart.”
