Nicki Minaj has beef and lets it sizzle with “Bigfoot.”
Announced over the weekend and released at midnight, “Bigfoot” appears to be a response to Megan Thee Stallion's apparent diss on her just-released single “Hiss.”
Megan spits venom in Minaj's direction on “Hiss,” in which she apparently sinks her fangs into her husband, registered sex offender Kenneth Petty, while referencing Megan's Law, a federal law that requires law enforcement to law to have information about registered sex offenders.
“These hoes ain't mad at Megan, these hoes are mad at Megan's Law/ I don't really know what the problem is, but I guarantee you don't want me to start/ Bh—h, you a. y, never finna check me/ Every chance you get, bet your weak ass ain't on me,” the Houston rapper unloads on “Hiss,” which arrives on Friday (January 26).
Minaj wasted little time fighting back. Later on Friday, the Trinidadian hip-hop star previewed an unreleased track in which Meghan was shot in the leg by Tory Lanez in 2020. The shooting case ended last year with the Canadian artist sent to prison.
“Bad b—x she like six foot, I call her big foot/ The b—x fell, I said get up on your good leg,” Nicki rap in “Bigfoot”.
And at the top, he drops, “Your flow is so pierced/ Drinking a bottle of Henny through a straw/ b—h, you better stop this dialogue/ 'Before I hit Carl and buy your catalog.”
Nicky rounded off “Hiss” with a social media spray and bided her time for “Bigfoot” to drop in full. “He was fine for 2 days. just tried to be cool and let her have her flow,” he writes on X (formerly Twitter). “I wouldn't say anything. But I remember how everyone kept my name in their mouths and how I said that the next person who mentions my family will regret it. Btw, they haven't even heard the song. Who said it's even a “diss”? I never knew I had so much power.”
The Queen of Rap's cover features a high-heeled pink boot stepping into a much larger footprint embossed in pink concrete. If there was any doubt about his aim, the image appears next to a close-up of Megan's face looking distressed.
The “Bigfoot” line is, most likely, a reference to Megan's proportions. The “WAP” singer reportedly adopted the moniker “stallion” in her youth due to her height (she's said to be 5'10″). As Minaj retired from X, #Bigfoot became a trending topic.
In another post, Nicki hinted that she has a slate of unreleased tracks to show the world. This is extra Pink Friday 2, where debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 last month, marking her third leader on the albums chart — and the most No. 1s among female rappers. He previously reigned in the reckoning with Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded in 2012 and her studio debut Pink Friday in 2011.
