Ozzy Osbourne revealed in early 2020 that he was battling Parkinson’s disease, for which he has been undergoing stem cell therapy.
On a new episode of his SiriusXM program “Ozzy Speaks” with co-host Billy Morrison, Ozzy opened up about the intense stem cell treatments he’s been undergoing as of late.
“I’ve just come back from the doctor after having some stem cells put in me,” he said after Morrison asked him about his health.
“The thing is, you have it, and you go, ‘I don’t feel that great,’” said Ozzy of the therapy, “but I don’t know what it would be like if I didn’t have it.”
He continued: “This stuff that I have, it’s kind of like a super fucking stem cell, you know? They put three bottles in me this morning. I had one about three months ago and this was a follow-up, and I’ve got to go in about six months from now.”
Back in 2020, Cells4Life reported that Ozzy had undergone stem cell therapy for Parkin 2 — a rare genetic form of Parkinson’s — and that his symptoms were immediately lessened, according to comments from his daughter Kelly Osbourne.
“Seeing, after one treatment of stem cell, what has happened and the progress that he’s made is mind-blowing,” she said. “He wants to get up. He wants to do things. He wants to be a part of the world again. He’s walking better. He’s talking better. His symptoms are lessening. He is building the muscle strength back that he needs.”
Elsewhere in his episode of “Ozzy Speaks,” the Black Sabbath singer said that he still hopes to perform and considers it his current ambition among a lifetime of achievements and success — including his recent Rock & Hall Hall of Fame nod.
“I’d like to do a fucking gig without falling over,” he said, to which Morrison replied: “That’s gonna come. You’ll get there.”
