After two decades as a group, Paramore won their first two Grammys on Sunday (February 4), taking home the awards for Best Rock album and Best Alternative Music This is the reason. To celebrate, the trio took to Instagram to thank fans for listening to their music.
“First of all, huge thanks to our fans, our team and the voting academy for making This is the reason Such a moment for us, 20 years into our career. Our band won two Grammys last night, sitting together in Zac's living room, dressed in our normal clothes (yes, we saw the empty meme on the red carpet),” they began their message. “It turned out that our win for Best Rock album was a historic feat, being the first female-fronted band to each take home a trophy for this category. Funny but true! It's an honor for Paramore to be a small but constant reminder for people to keep pushing these rock and alternative venues to be more inclusive.”
They added: “Some of you will know this This is the reason it was our last album for our deal with Atlantic Records. Finishing anything well is something to be proud of. Thank you to those who have supported the Paramore ethos as well as the music.”

Paramore released their sixth studio album, This is the reasonin February of last year, they scored their highest-charting album in nearly a decade with a No. 2 debut on the Billboard 200. The album was the band's first since After the laugh was released in May 2017. debuted at No. 6. The group's last album to chart higher was their 2013 self-titled release, which debuted at No. 1 on the chart dated April 27, 2013 .
