Premiere: Julia Logue Shares New Single 'Welcome To Your Sunrise'

Later this month, Portland-based singer/songwriter Julia Logue is set to share her upcoming debut LP, Welcome to Your Sunrise. She debuted in 2020 with her EP, Without face, and it's been years since she shared a string of new singles, drawing on jazz, soul, R&B and vintage pop singers. Today, he's sharing the album's title track as his final single, premiering it early with Under the Radar.
With “Welcome To Your Sunrise” Logue create a warm and melodic effort, filled with simple guitar lines, cool syncopated beats and an expressive vocal performance. Logue's vocals glide and soar, moving deftly over the decadent wash of jazzy instrumentation and heady basslines. The results are rich and inviting, but also show a soft, laid-back side of Logue, allowing her to take the track with seemingly effortless charm.
Logue's press release says of the track, “'Welcome To Your Sunrise', the title track from Julia Logue's debut album, is based on alternative R&B and neo-soul with a psychedelic edge. Between layered keyboards, tight pockets, funky bass, jazzy strings and rich vocals, Logue works through issues of self-doubt, her place in the world, her connection to others and ultimately how to trust her higher self.”
