It looks Rod Wave he might have the fight of his life on him. He was recently arrested on serious weapons charges.
Variety mmagazine References that the St. Petersburg, Florida native ran into trouble on Sunday, March 31st. Local leads claim he was involved in a shooting in Manatee County that left four people injured. According to a statement released by police: “at approximately 11 p.m., officers responded to shots fired at a large group of people gathered outside 400 49 St. S. At this time it appears that a group of men got into a verbal fight and exchanged gunfire outside the location,” the document states.
Rod Wave was arrested in connection with the incident and charged with weapons, including possession of the ammunition. His lawyers quickly denied the claims in an Instagram post. “Rod was arrested and taken into custody with absolutely no evidence of wrongdoing. Police claimed he was a criminal in possession of ammunition,” the caption read. “Not only was he not in possession of ammunition, but a basic check of public records would have easily proved to the police that he was not a convicted felon. The prosecutor and judge immediately agreed that the evidence did not support the charge and released him the same day.”
This wasn't the first time Rod Wave had been in trouble with the law. In 2022, he was arrested for allegedly strangling his ex-girlfriend. In one exclusive statementst to Rolling Stone mMagazine's attorney Bradford Cohen claimed it was a misunderstanding. Rod Wave has yet to publicly comment on the gun allegations.
