Zedd has been honored by the city and county of San Francisco with a day in his own name.
October 12, 2024 is now “Zedd Day” in City by the Bay, according to the superstar DJ, who announced the official proclamation this week. Issued by Mayor London Breed, it praises Zedd as “an integral part of the San Francisco performing arts community.”
Mayoral proclamations are generally issued for the purposes of public awareness, education, or civic duties. Except for FISHER's day in Las Vegas, they're rare in the music industry, so Zedd celebrated by showing off his during a performance at San Francisco's famed Bill Graham Civic Auditorium.

The proclamation also notes that Zedd played a “pivotal” role in the city's pandemic recovery efforts after headlining the first event at Bill Graham following an 18-month closure period. The sold-out show took place on August 6, 2021.
