K-pop group SEVENTEEN released their highly anticipated greatest hits album, 17 It's right here, on Monday morning (April 29), along with the futuristic video for lead single, “Maestro.” The two-CD, 33-track compilation brings together the Korean versions of eight previously released Japanese singles, 20 singles from the 13-member group's Korean releases, as well as four new tracks and a digital-only 2015 instrumental release from the boy band. debut single, “Adore U.”
The fresh single “MAESTRO” will follow the hip-hop group’s “LALALI”, the performance group’s “Spell” and the vocal group’s “Cheers to youth”. The visually stunning 'MAESTRO', directed by Han Sungsoo, drops team members Woozi, S. Coups, Wonwoo, Mingyu, Vernon, Jeonghan, Jun, DK, Joshua, Hoshi, Dino, The8 and Seungkwan into a stylish future landscape full of dance. robots and mechanical dogs in which they manage to break out a high-energy dance with their machine partners and conduct a gothic symphony orchestra through the track's hip-hop-influenced dance attack.
“In line with the group's core message of solidarity, this captivating R&B dance track shows how together, we can orchestrate our own universe like a 'maestro,'” reads a statement announcing the clip. To further the message, he added that the video takes place in a dystopian future where “anything, including music and art, can be easily created with technology.”
According to the band's label, 17 It's right here received more than three million pre-orders as of April 19. During a press conference announcing the album on Monday, SEVENTEEN also announced plans for a world tour this fall, with the full roster — including US dates — to be announced at a later date.
