Right after their January album small ropeSleater-Kinney have once again offered the Freyed String Sessions PE.
The three-track EP consists of reimagined versions of small rope songs “Say It Like You Mean It”, “Hunt You Down” and “Untidy Creature”. The launch also coincides today with International Women's Day (March 8): Sleater-Kinney's earnings. band camp Sales will benefit the reproductive justice organization Noise For Now.
Additionally, Sleater-Kinney has released the “Little Rope Unraveled” video series, where the duo discuss the three original tracks featured on the Freyed String Sessions PE. Of the new release, Carrie Brownstein and Corin Tucker of Sleater-Kinney wrote in a statement: “We wanted to return to these songs, reimagine them and revisit them, both for ourselves and for the listener.
