Carmelo Anthony finally tells his 'Is Stevie Wonder really blind' story.
Celebrities and fans alike love to tell stories about the legendary Stevie Wonder doing and saying things that may or may not prove he can see. There are complete conspiracy theories about this matter.
A famous story was told by Shaq a few years ago Inside the NBA when the Hall of Fame big man claimed the famous singer-songwriter walked into an elevator in the Los Angeles building they lived in, swerved his way to say what was going on, pushed his floor and got off and went to his apartment.
During a recent episode of 19:00 in Brooklyn podcast with co-hosts The Kid Mero, Kazeem Famuyide and guest Rudy Gay, the former New York Knick told a story about meeting Stevie Wonder for the first time. As he begins to tell the story, his co-hosts give him a hard time because they know where he's going, but Melo is still able to compose himself and pull through.
So, apparently, during the 2011 NBA All-Star Game in Los Angeles, Stevie Wonder was allowed into the locker room to meet the players. As he made his way around the room, he shook Anthony's hand and reportedly told the future Hall of Famer, “I love watching you play.” Of course, his co-hosts start to lose it, though Carmelo swears by it and mentions that there is another part to the saga, but he won't say it because Kobe isn't here anymore and only he can.
However, the legend seems to be in on the joke, as he once told TMZ that he would reveal the truth one day back in 2017.
