Just over two years after the release of their debut album, FRACTALS, comes the formal reveal of the next chapter of the Subtronics saga. The album shares a name with the bass superstar's current tour and is scheduled to be released on Friday, February 16.
The Cyclops Recordings founder's team also developed a custom audiovisual experience that aligns with TESSERACT, complete with mind-blowing visuals.
“Sonically speaking, I think this totally represents my personality and sounds the best I can so far, with the things I've learned over the years, combined with what has inspired me recently,” Subtronics said in a statement.TESSERACT It's a fitting sequel to my first album FRACTALS and in the same sense, once again I intended to demonstrate my breadth in style, sound and emotion. Some songs are meant for the dance floor, some are meant for the car, and some are meant to serenade you to sleep. “I'm trying my best to create an immersive alternate reality with a magical but at the same time sci-fi world, full of energy and feelings across the spectrum.”
It's been a busy start to 2024 for Subtronics, who recently announced their fourth Red Rocks acquisition, “Cyclops Rocks,” and dropped their second collaboration with Rezz, “Black Ice.” Your comments paintTESSERACTas a defining moment in his career.
“Wait [TESSERACT]leaves a lasting impact on the listener and the dance music community as a whole. It's really something I can look back on in 30 years and still be proud of because I know this is the sound I'm really passionate about and I really gave it my all. This album is my second child, I've been preparing it for more than two years and I put everything I could into it.”
