SZA calls out listeners who leak music.
With his release Wool — the upcoming project described as the deluxe edition of the flagship map warning sign — on the horizon, the singer-songwriter says she’s “tired” of song leaks and plans to hold people accountable for their actions.
“THE LEAKAGE OF MY MUSIC IS STEALING . THIS IS MY JOB . THIS IS MY LIFE AND MY INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY. YOU ARE A FUCKING THIEF AND I PROMISE TO PUT THE MAXIMUM ENERGY TO CATCH EVERYONE RESPONSIBLE TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW. I’M TIRED,” SZA wrote on Saturday (Jan. 6). in Xformerly Twitter.

She also talked about song leaks in an interview in November Variety: “When people leak my songs, they destroy them,” SZA said. “Then it is no longer mine. it is truly yours. This is something incomplete you decided he was ready to share.”
At the time, he noted, “And he’s like, ‘F— you. Now I do not release it.’ Play your leak but you won’t bully me into dropping music. Now I’m ashamed of this less than correct version you posted. You creatively sent me to a strange place when you could have waited for me, but you’re selfish.”
In December, SZA shared a series of covers for Wool, although a release date has not been confirmed. He previously told fans that the album will feature seven to 10 songs.
SZA, whose real name is Solána Rowe, leads the pack of Grammy nominees for the Feb. 4, 2024 ceremony with nine nominations, including record and song of the year for Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 “Kill Bill” and an album of the Year nod for the Billboard 200 chart-topper warning sign.
