Taylor Swift announced her new album, The Department of Tortured Poetsduring the 2024 Grammy Awards. The album will be released on April 19 and you can see the cover below.
Swift made the announcement while accepting the award for Best Pop Vocal Album for her 2022 LP. Midnight. The win marked her 13th Grammy of all time, and as any good Swiftie knows, 13 is her lucky number, making it the perfect time to break news about her upcoming album.
According to the pre-orders available on it. website, the album will consist of 16 tracks, and the CD, vinyl and cassette versions will include a bonus track called “The Manuscript.” The vinyl edition also comes with a 24-page book-bound cover featuring three handwritten lyrics and never-before-seen photographs. It will be pressed on “Ghosted White” double vinyl.
Meanwhile, the Collector's Edition Deluxe CD will only be available to order until February 7 at 9:00 pm ET. The package includes a single disc with collectible covers, a 20-page booklet with all lyrics and never-before-seen photographs, a “The Manuscript” patch, a brass-tone bookmark with “TTPD” engraved on one side and “The Manuscript” ” on the other, a “The Manuscript” magnet and four collectible photo cards.
Immediately after leaving the Grammy stage, Swift's Instagram account was updated with the album art and a handwritten note on TTPD stationery. See both below.
