Lilly Palmer's rise to techno stardom has been boosted after signing a landmark record deal with Armada Music and Kontor.
The deal comes after a big year that saw Palmer perform at the historic Mainstage of Tomorrowland, the world's largest and most popular electronic dance music festival. She also released a series of festival favorites throughout 2023 and was ultimately named one of EDM.comThe best music producers of the year.
It's something of a local affair for Palmer, as the emerging DJ, who grew up in Nuremberg, joins the roster of Germany's leading dance music label. Since its inception in 1996, the label has released countless chart-topping records from the likes of Tiësto, Armin van Buuren, ATB, Scooter, EDX and NERVO, among many others.
“The partnership with Armada and Kontor Records marks a pivotal moment in my career,” Palmer said in a press release. “The immense support and trust of these two esteemed labels is an incredible honor and I am delighted to embark on this journey with such distinguished partners. I am deeply grateful for this extraordinary opportunity and eager to continue sharing my music with a global audience.”
The teams behind Kontor and Armada already have a long-standing business partnership. Now they will take advantage of that relationship “to offer the best 360 service” between the former's headquarters in Hamburg and the latter's offices in Amsterdam, London and New York.
“Lilly Palmer has an incredible gift for what she does, whether it's producing or performing, so naturally we've been following her career for a long time,” added Maykel Piron, CEO and co-founder of Armada Music. “I'm very excited to welcome you to the roster in this exciting partnership with our friends at Kontor!”
