A few weeks ago, Tekashi 6ix9ine was arrested in the Dominican Republic for domestic violence, but the embattled rapper may be off the hook as his girlfriend is unwilling to cooperate with authorities.
Dailymail UK reports that Tekashi was released from jail on bond after his girlfriend, Yailin La Más Viral, refused to speak to authorities about the incident that her mother, Wanda Díaz, reported to police. Looks like Yailin can teach Tekashi a thing or two about keeping your lips sealed. Tekashi was taken into custody on January 17 after Wanda Díaz accused the rapper of assaulting both her and her daughter, Yailin.
When it came time to appear in court and co-sign the claims, Yailin La Más Viral denied her mother's claims and told Judge Fátima Veloz that Tekashi never laid his hands on her.
Per Dailymail UK:
Díaz, who did not attend the audition because she was feeling sick due to a complication from cosmetic surgery, accused Tekashi of beating her and Yailin Las Más Viral.
Díaz spoke during a YouTube live stream on the Alofoke Radio Show moments after Tekashi was arrested while trying to leave the country and revealed that he attacked them after she tried to stop him from hitting her daughter.
“One time I was with her, they were arguing, she pushed me, she hit me because I got involved, because she hit my daughter,” he said. “They threw me to the ground. (Texas') security didn't do anything. I was there telling him not to keep hitting my daughter and he kept going and I got involved.'
Judge Veloz set Tekashi on 30,000 pesos (about $509) bail, which he happily posted and released on a free bond.
Despite this, Tekashi is banned from leaving the Dominican Republic until he settles his original assault case that got him stuck there in the first place. In October 2023, Tekashi was arrested when he tried to leave the country after allegedly assaulting music producers, Cristian Rojas and Nelson Hilario. The most famous snitch in Hip-Hop history was jealous of the two men because they were spending a lot of time in the studio with his girlfriend, Yailin.
After he and some of his friends jumped the two men, Tekashi tried to make it back to the US only to be arrested at the airport after authorities noticed there was a warrant out for his arrest. There's no word on when this initial case might be settled and Tekashi will return to the States, but we better believe that no one on this side of town misses having Tekashi out and about in America. I am just saying.'
How do you think Yailin said Tekashi never attacked her? Is she telling the truth or covering for her husband? Let us know in the comments section below.
