Some more classic Retro Air Jordans from yesteryear are set to release as the OG “Metallic” colorway on the Air Jordan 5 is reportedly set to return in 2025.
According Sneakernews Nike will celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Air Jordan 5 “Metallic” tribes by refreshing the original colorway that debuted in the 90s and loved everyone with the reflective tongue. Although the sneakers were released in 2016 in their original glory, sneakerheads have no problem planning another release nearly a decade later. Well, resellers stocking the 2016 pairs might, but who cares.
Per Sneakernews:
First debuted in the 1990 All-Star Game, the Air Jordan 5 “Black/Metallic” is considered one of the greatest OG Jordans in history. Featuring a black nubuck upper, oversized reflective tongue and translucent rubber mesh upper, this 2016 classic is the latest hit with an MSRP of $220. This increased pricing reflects the execution of Jumpman's Retro Footwear Remastered — a true approach to shape and material.
According to @zsneakerheadz and Sneaker Files, Jordan Brand plans to bring back this OG classic. Full specifications are unknown, but these are expected in 2025.
These are definitely worth a double or triple.
