Tyla is in front of and behind the paintbrush in her latest music video for “Art” from her self-titled debut album, both released on Friday (March 22).
Instead of posing for the cameras as she usually does, the South African singer-songwriter posed for the canvas on a sun lounger in her sheer red corset dress and sheer thigh-high boots. But when a young man captivated by her pure beauty sneaks into the gallery, he discovers that she is not only the muse, but the artist herself. Tyla's portrait magically transforms into one of his, and he wonders where to hang it with the rest of the men who are completely captivated by her charms.
“Study my face, frame it, put me on the wall/ Above the ladder, If you flaunt me/ I'll be your piece/ your ART,” he sings on the chorus.
“Art” is one of the 14 tracks Tylawhich also includes the Billboard Hot 100 No. 7 and the Grammy-winning smash “Water,” the Travis Scott remix that also has a music video and more collaborations with fellow South African DJ/producer Kelvin Momo (“Intro”), Tems (“No. 1”), Gunna and Skillibeng (“Jump”) and Becky G (“On My Body”). Tyla also features previously released tracks 'Truth or Dare', 'On and On' and 'Butterflies' – which were combined as Tyla EP in late 2023 — plus 2022 single “To Last.”
Tyla previously gave BLACKPINK's Lisa the “first listen” of “Art.”
