After joining forces for “Enter the Rave” last year, UMEK and Sam WOLFE have reunited to add fuel to their collaborative saga with another spectacular techno track, “Robocop.”
“Robocop” attacks with heavy beats, hydraulic beats, and an infectious vocal hook. The song's mechanical beats and cold synths conjure images of cyber officers patrolling neon-drenched streets. However, this android performer also knows how to make a move, generating in-speaker turn-up breakdowns tailor-made for the rave.
All said and done, “Robocop,” out now via UMEK’s 1605 label, is a relentless injection of late-night techno for those who want to dance with disciplined abandon. UMEK and Wolfe have once again created an exciting techno track that acts as another notch on their increasingly decorated belt.
“Since the beginning of our relationship, [UMEK] “He was always testing me to see if I could consistently create quality for the label, and also listening to and implementing his feedback to make my solo material more powerful,” says WOLFE. EDM.com. “During that time of over two years, developing a very good friendship and playing shows together in North America, we became very comfortable giving each other feedback about music and developed a flow where we can constantly start an idea and turn it into a bomb once and again.”
WOLFE is gearing up for a big 2024 as he sits on “an album of unreleased songs ready to release and signed to a host of new labels,” he added. He also plans to showcase more of his electrifying DJ sets on YouTube after a whirlwind year in which he performed 62 shows in 44 cities.
