What will be the #1 song of the summer of 2024? With one week of tracking left, Post Malone's 'I Had Some Help' featuring Morgan Wallen maintains its lead for the crown, per Bulletin board's Songs of the Summer chart.
The current 20-spot Songs of the Summer tally tracks the most popular titles based on cumulative performance on the weekly Billboard Hot 100 chart based on streaming, airplay and sales from Memorial Day to Labor Day (this year includes charts from June 8 to September 7). This year's hot weather winner is set to be revealed on Billboard.com and Bulletin boarduser's social channels Tuesday, September 3.
“I Had Some Help” has ruled the Songs of the Summer all 13 weeks since it returned to the chart this season. It also tops both the Hot 100 and Hot Country Songs surveys. Only one hit has earned the season-ending No. 1 spot on the Songs of the Summer chart after topping both the Hot 100 and Hot Country Songs — Wallen's “Last Night” last year.
Shaboozey's “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” sits at No. 2 on Songs of the Summer, with the final week of the chart's tracking period potentially setting the stage for a photo-op between the song and the team-up of Post Malone and Wallen. “I Had Some Help” charted in the top three spots on the Hot 100 and at No. 1 for four of the last 13 weeks. “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” is in the top four, capping its seven weeks at No. 1, in that span.
Kendrick Lamar's “Not Like Us” follows at No. 3 on the Songs of the Summer top five, with Tommy Richman's “Million Dollar Baby” at No. 4 and Sabrina Carpenter's “Espresso” at No. 5.
Carpenter is the only actress with two songs in the Songs of the Summer top 10, as her “Please Please Please” ranks at No. 7.
Before 2023's “Last Night,” Harry Styles' “As It Was” was the No. 1 hit on the Songs of the Summer chart that closed out the 2022 season, behind BTS's “Butter” for 2021 and “Rockstar” by DaBaby. with Roddy Ricch wrapped around the top in 2020.
