Caribou, the electronic project of artist Dan Snaith, has confirmed a new album due out on October 4th, titled HoneyThe album announcement is accompanied by the release of an upbeat single – listen to “Come Find Me” below.
The follow-up to Caribou's 2020 album, Suddenlyteases a new chapter for Snaith. “For his sixth Caribou album, Snaith now steps back a bit in pursuit of music that isn’t about any one person in particular and is available to everyone,” reads a statement. “The massive dancefloors shimmer, sparkle and surprise in a way only Snaith’s productions can, but with a freshness that defines an artist who is too excited about making music to ever really settle on one sound.”
“Come Find Me” is, in fact, an infectious, upbeat invitation to the dance floor, and the song’s playfully absurd video features a dancer sporting a giant image of Snaith’s face.
“I love this kind of chord sequence and French-picking style, but it took me a long time to find the right vocal hook and breakdown and make it more pop and concise,” Snaith says of “Come Find Me.” “When I play it in DJ sets, when it’s stripped down to just the singing and suddenly it’s a song that comes out again, I know for a fact that no one in the audience has heard it before.”
Caribou will be heading out on tour this fall, with North American dates beginning in November. Check out the full list of upcoming dates below and purchase tickets to one of the shows. here.
