J. Prince is not happy with YSL Woody and the prosecutors handling the ongoing YSL RICO trial.
Earlier this week, the prosecution called Woody back on the stand to question him about statements he has made to police. In one incident that was caught on video and shared on social media, a prosecutor asked about Woody who allegedly mentioned J. Prince's name when questioned about Young Thug.
“Now, Mr. Cowland, in that June 10th interview, you mentioned that Thug was trying to be like J. Prince of Atlanta,” a prosecutor asked. “Do you remember hearing that?” Woody replied, “I guess,” before adding, “I don't know. I told you for the 10th time, I'll say anything to the police and that's what I did.”
The Rap-A-Lot founder didn't take too kindly to his report from the prosecution and let it be known by posting an excerpt from Woody's deposition on Instagram. “Nothing surprises me anymore when it comes to fake asses putting my name in their mouths,” he wrote. “But I still find it very interesting how some prosecutors will go above and beyond the call of duty to try to ruin a man's life because they were inspired by a successful black businessman like me. Btw, Black-on-Black racism is the worst. #freeyoungthug”
Bulletin board YSL Woody has been contacted for comment.
While on the stand, Woody became increasingly frustrated with the prosecution's line of questioning as he repeatedly told them that he lied to the police while being interviewed. “I told you I lied and I told you, and you still brought me here,” he said before the judge allowed him to step down from the stand briefly to collect himself.
