A$AP Rocky's new album, Don't be stupidIt may have been delayed, but today her latest single, “Tailor Swif,” arrives in its place.
Premiered for the first time live at Rolling Loud Portugal in 2022, “Tailor Swif” is the latest single released from Don't be stupid (now set for release sometime in the fall of 2024). Built around a bouncing, head-bobbing beat, the single’s main feature is its Taylor Swift-referencing chorus: “I’m too fast, don’t tell Taylor about this shit.”
“Tailor Swif” arrives alongside a surreal music video directed by Vania Heymann and Gal Muggia, which finds A$AP wandering through a strange setting in Ukraine, decorated with a number of bizarre sights, such as portable toilets falling from the sky, a man with fingers instead of legs, dogs in business suits talking on cell phones, and more.
Earlier this month, A$AP released another Don't be stupid song, “Highjack,” which was the first single from the album to arrive since 2023. In a new interview with Billboard — in which it was revealed that Don't be stupid's release date has been delayed: A$AP explained that some of the new music has been in the works for years, but has been delayed at least in part by leaks.
“I’ve been working on music for six years, but they leak my music and I’m like, ‘Fuck it,’” she said. “They leak a lot of music and ruin it. Like my ‘Tailor Swif’ video. It pissed me off so much, so I never put it out.”
Ahead of the official release of “Tailor Swif,” A$AP posted a preview of the video on Twitter with the caption: “YOU ALREADY LEAKED IT, FOOLS.” Now, you can watch it in all its glory below.
