Sabrina Carpenter earns her third No. 1 Bulletin boardThe film's Pop Airplay chart as “Please Please Please” tops the chart dated September 7. The song follows her “Espresso,” which ruled for three weeks in July, and “Feather,” which led for one week in April.
“Please Please Please,” released by Island Records and promoted to radio by Republic (and, notably, edited for radio), gained 8% in the Aug. 23-29 play. (The Pop Airplay chart ranks songs by weekly airplay on over 150 mainstream top 40 radio stations tracked by Mediabase, with data provided to Bulletin board from Luminate.)
Carpenter was already the only artist with at least two Pop Airplay No. 1 in 2024. She becomes the eighth artist to reach the top spot with at least three songs in a January-December tracking year, dating back to the chart's inception in 1992. Rihanna is the only act to achieve the feat twice, while Lady Gaga scored an unprecedented four No. 1s in 2009.
