From The Weeknd releasing the lead single off his next album to Charli XCX and Troye Sivan launching Brat Autumn with a fresh remix, this week is full of artists entering new seasons.
Opening with the Canadian superstar, new song 'Dancing in the Flames' marks the lead single from his upcoming album Hurry up tomorrow. When this LP drops, The Weeknd will have finally completed the album trilogy that began in 2020 with After Hours and continued with 2022 Dawn FM. The albums reached Nos. 1 and 2 on the Billboard 200, respectively — there's a reason the “Blinding Lights” musician is Bulletin boardNo. 18 of the biggest pop stars of the 21st century.
Then, the duo behind the upcoming Sweat tour unleashed their long-awaited collaboration on a remix of “Talk Talk,” which follows a summer of Charli's. Brat remixes with Lorde, Billie Eilish and more. The flirtatious anthem also precedes the British alt-pop star's recently announced follow-up album Brat and it's totally different but still Bratwhich arrives on October 11.
Additionally, both Katy Perry and Shawn Mendes premiered new singles from their respective fast-approaching albums, 143 and Sean. The former unveiled “I'm His, He's Mine” featuring Doechii while the latter dropped “Nobody Knows,” with both tracks making their live debuts on stage at the MTV Video Music Awards on Wednesday (September 11), two days before their release.
