BLACKPINK's LISA Welcomes Visitors To Thailand In “The White Lotus” Teaser

BLACKPINK's LISA debuts as an actress for HBO Max The White Lotus season three.

THE Teaser for HBO 2025which features clips from the new season, gives fans their first look at the K-pop star, who goes by the name Lalisa Manobal. She stars as Mook, a resort manager who greets new guests with a warm, “Welcome to The White Lotus in Thailand, ka.”

In a recent interview with ELLELISA shared her initial reaction to the cast The White Lotus creator Mike White, whom he called “a genius.”

“I think I cried [when I got the role]. I was with my friends, my mom's friends and my mom too, but I didn't tell them I was auditioning for it,” LISA said. “I'm very excited and nervous because it's my first acting project. Although acting is new for LISA, the BLACKPINK star noted some similarities with her work in music videos, saying, “It's very new to me, but I think it's similar to shooting music videos…I'm excited to see my fans. ”

She added that filming in Thailand allowed her to reconnect with her roots and enjoy Thai cuisine every day. “I feel like people will fall in love with Thailand even more,” remarked LISA.

Aside from her new TV venture, LISA has continued to make waves in the music world. In 2024, she released her single 'Rockstar', which debuted at No. 70 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 4 on the Billboard Global 200, becoming LISA's first No. 1 hit on the Billboard Global Excl.
