After teasing new material for the past couple of weeks Future finally confirmed his new job Mixtape Pluto coming soon
This week, the Atlanta trap rapper announced his highly anticipated upcoming solo effort via his Instagram account. “In *** the publicity I got this from the mud MIXTAPE PLUTO 9-20-24,” the caption read. The post teased the latest album with a preview image of “Too Fast.” Along with the video clip, he also revealed the album artwork. The cover depicts Rico Wade's former home, nicknamed “The Dungeon”, with purple lighting inside. This is where the late great produced most of his iconic music. This house also served as the first workspace for Outkast and The Goodie MoB during their prime.
MIXTAPE PLUTO will be Future's third project in 2024. Earlier this year it was released We Don't Trust You and We Still Don't Trust You produced by Metro Boomin. Before these collaborative albums was his last true solo effort I never liked you in 2022. While not much is known about the upcoming project, the title appears to refer to Future's debut Pluto and his storied run of classic mixtapes (i.e. 56 Nights, Purple Reignetc.) which many of his fans believe to be his best work.
