This is the 2nd EP though Dirtcore Music debut from Chicago, Illinois emcee Mumm Ra. A member of the collective Mission: Infect, he finally made his solo debut in 2008 with Remember the Name & the sophomore effort The AboM:Ination. His debut EP Clash of the Titans: The Return of 3rd Earth & his 3rd album The God complex The two dated a decade ago, which later resulted in her following them Wrath of the Titans& House of M respectively. Madd Maxx just released his new EP Dirtcore 24 at the beginning of the month he celebrates his birthday, so it makes perfect sense that God should start Autogod trilogy.
After the introduction of “Chapter 1”, the first song “You Can't Get Rid Me” produced by Crossworm is this incredibly dark opener for everyone who thought he was done with music, while “Come On” it speaks of faith that wasn't what it once was anymore over an electronic snare organ. “Had Enough” takes the apocalyptic trap route by expressing his frustration with rappers up front, while “King Omega” embraces boom bap by discussing the scope of it being a beautiful thing. “1 Time” ends the EP promising to blow your team away.
Dirtcore has consistently proven to be a dominant force in the underground since Crossworm began signing other artists to the label & Autogod not only further proves my point, but makes me feel confident that the rest of his EP trilogy will become some of the most important material in his discography. It's more well-produced than some of his older stuff and you can really hear the rekindled passion through Mama's lyrics.
