Cleveland death metal band Abraded was joined by an enthusiastic young man during their performance at the recent Obscene Extreme Fest in Trutnov, Czech Republic.
The band was in the middle of a song (and a particularly raucous section of shrill guitar squeals) when suddenly a small child came running off the stage. He darted across the stage, taking everyone by surprise, before being pulled back to the side by a stagehand.
Clearly, the boy was delighted and unfazed by Abraded's extreme metal style. He quickly made his sprint across the stage again and this time no one stopped him. He even approached the guitarist to dance and play some drums in the air. At that moment, Abraded's singer noticed the boy on stage and looked at him with concern and shook his head.
No one seemed to mind as the young metalhead did a couple more passes around the stage with his arms held back, these passes resembling the kind of moves you might see during a wild pit circuit. Luckily, the kid wasn't hindered by anyone or any equipment or cables and was wearing ear protection, so it was all fun and safe.
Interestingly, we reported on a little boy who went up on stage at the same Czech metal festival in 2021. The age and appearance seem to suggest it could be the same guy. If so, he has a career as a frontman ahead of him with those stage antics.
