Tyler Hubbard puts his own spin on a modern pop classic. The two-time Billboard Country Airplay chart topper recently recorded a batch of songs as part of the Apple Music Nashville Sessions, and along with some of his own hits, he repeated The Weeknd's four-week 2020 Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 “Blinding Lights.”
Hubbard's performance was recorded live on Spatial Audio at Apple Music's Nashville studios. The three-song EP includes – in addition to 'Blinding Lights' – renditions of 'Turn' from Hubbard's new album Strong and “Me For Me” from his self-titled debut album.
Hubbard is headlining a series of shows and festivals across the US and will kick off his groundbreaking Strong World tour on September 6th in Indianapolis, with the tour making stops in Canada and Australia before concluding at Nashville's historic Ryman Auditorium.
“Blinding Lights” appeared on The Weeknd's 2020 album After hours. At the 2021 Billboard Music Awards, “Blinding Lights” was named the top Hot 100 song, top radio song and top R&B song, while After hours was named top R&B album.
Hubbard released his second solo album, Strong, in April on EMI Nashville. Hubbard said Advertising sign the moment he felt “a little more established, he found a little more rhythm. Until last year, I didn't know who my fan really was, but I got to know them by being on the road so much last year. I know who my fan is, so it's the first project I've written with my fans in mind.”
