FX has signed on for the fan-favorite vampire comedy What are we doing in the shadows?. As originally reported by Vulturethe show's upcoming sixth season will be its last.
Season 5 of What are we doing in the shadows? concluded last August, placing the series on our list of the best TV shows of 2023. The sixth season is set to begin production in January 2024.
What are we doing in the shadows? premiered in March 2019 as a spinoff of the 2014 film of the same name by Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement. Clement created the show, sharing executive producer duties with showrunner Paul Simms and Waititi. Throughout its run, the series has been nominated for 21 Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Comedy Series in 2020 and 2022.
