Enough is enough — at least according to me Cardi B. With the release of her gutsy new single “Enough (Miami)” on Friday (March 15), the Bronx rapper is getting a few things off her chest.
“B—s wash, soap on the dishes/ I put pressure like boa constrictors/ One b—h, two b—h, old b—h, new b—h/ None of all b—s go' do st,” he spits on first verse of the confrontational track produced by OG Parker and Romano. If she Missy Elliott-Beckoning 'Like What (Freestyle)' was a warning shot, 'Enough' finds Cardi directly aiming for her biggest hits.
Cardi first teased “Enough” via a video was posted on her official TikTok page on March 7. Going for a stripped down vibe with minimal makeup and a white tank top and sweats, Cardi raps and dances along to the clip in the clip. She too was posted the clip on her official Instagram page with the same caption '15', which not-so-subtly refers to the song's March 15th release date.
The new single comes amid a flurry of new Cardi B music. In addition to “Like What” — which debuted at No. 38 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped Rap Digital Song Sales (both charts dated March 16) – Cardi is also set to appear on “Puntería,” the opening track from Shakirais forthcoming Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran LP (March 22). Last year, he appeared on several Hot 100 hits, including Latto“Put It on Da Floor Again” (No. 13), It is compensated“Jealousy” (No. 55) and FendiDa Rappa's “Point Me 2” (No. 82) and “Bongos” (No. 14, featuring Megan Thee Stallion).
On the Hot 100, Cardi B has scored five No. 1 singles, including the Megan Thee Stallion-assisted “Bodak Yellow,” “Up” and “WAP.” Breach of privacyher debut studio album, debuted and reached No. 1 Billboard 200and has since spent more than 220 weeks in the ranking.
